I am NOT your fetish and I am NOT your porn. by ClassyDamePinup I am NOT your fetish and I am NOT your porn. by ClassyDamePinup
As a model, especially a plus size model you get a lot of negative attention from certain fans that see you for nothing more then a fetish because you are in a public forum.
If you behave in a manner that is unacceptable, you WILL be banned.

I am grateful for the fans who appreciate my work and are respectful. I may lose some followers for this but people who re- blog my images (without permission) to porn sites are NOT welcome here.

I personally think you're beautiful, I happen to be attracted to "larger" ladies.  I'm not going to apologize for that.

I must admit that I have probably been guilty of this, to one extent or another. Though I do not recall ever speaking to you or posting about you in a disrespectful manner, and I do not ever knowingly re-post anyone's artwork without permission, I cannot be certain that I have always been as polite and respectful as I know I should be.

Thank you for this reminder, presented as directly as it should be. I know that not all of your feedback has been supportive, but I can only take responsibility for my own actions. I hope that this reminder will improve them.

And as always, thank you for sharing this with us.

Don't you think you're kibitzing just a touch too much? Over some random comments in your inbox you can just as easily delete rather than diatribe about? This is the internet: trolls are the norm.

A)Fat girls are a fetish for some people: you can't help that; that's what you are, to somebody. That's always going to be an immutable possibility, because it's a possibility period. In fact based on your premise, your page (if not this one) both encourages and depends on it.
B)Anything can be porn. If it exists there's porn about it. There's toaster porn for fuck's sake. Even if they were reblogging....why would you yelling at them change their minds? I get you're miffed but you're a lone voice crying in the wilderness, here. If they don't respect you enough to inform you that they're posting your shit on skinamax than what makes you think they're going to now? I could literally save this picture NOW and put it on a porn site. I'd be surprised if someone hasn't already as a joke. I'd be even more surprised if they did it and then personally banned themselves from your page.

I get what you're exclaiming--it is frustrating to be harassed--or be sexualized against your wishes---or to have your work passed around on the internet--but you're saying is kind of pointless; and, if actually taken seriously, an infringement on human rights. You don't have the license to tell people they can't use your image as a masturbatory aid. You don't have that right anymore than they do. Not unless you're secretly ten years old. Piracy however is theft; and my heart goes out to you for being took. My advice is put a stamp on your stuff so you can trace it back.

C)"Respectful" by what standard? there is no universal metric, I'm afraid. For instance I think typing demands on people's behavior in all caps is very disrespectful. In fact it flies right in the face of what George Orwell termed as freedom, "the right to tell people what they do not want to hear." You're an artist: you're going to be scrutinized. Some criticism is going to be, at least to your understanding of these abstracts, lewd, obscene or objectionable: but that shouldn't entitle you to dictate what people can do, think, and feel on your page. If you want respect, take yourself seriously.

You're an artist, and artists except that "criticism is as inevitable as breathing". T.S. Elliot You're not going to get any--you SHOULDN'T get any!---respect for pouting on a fainting couch and censoring people for saying things you simply don't like; because that's what "disrespectful" almost always means on the internet. If you want respect, start respecting your viewers enough not to silence them. "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." Again, T.S. Elliot If they say something you don't like...give them the rope to hang themselves. Let them be tried in the court of public opinion. Like this comment will be: all I've said is: A)you're being controlling, and it's unrealistic and silly; but I feel for you getting your shit stolen; and B)that a good way to get respect is to earn it by shrugging off the trolls and sucking it up: and I'm more than prepared to stand by both those sentiments.

Unless someone threatens you, just leave them be.

Now I have a huge problem with men thinking that it's okay to harass me because I'm a big girl and think I should be "grateful" for any attention I get.

What drives me crazy is that when I go and check who watches me or saves my work, I often find galleries of pornography and no work of their own. These creepers jusy lurk and collect this stuff...So much for community standards.

If men could figure out these rules, the world would be a better place:

You should never send unsolicited photos of someone's genitalia to a stranger. It's disgusting.
You wouldn't tell a perfect stranger what you would do to them in the bedroom if you had the chance.
You would re-blog someones images and make lewd comments about their body.
Just because she's a model and chooses to show some skin doesn't make her a whore.
What makes you think that she actually WANTS to meet someone from the internet???
She could be someone's daughter, wife, mother, etc. Would you really behave that way around women you respect in your life?

And for the record I rarely get criticism on my work. DeviantART as a community has been very welcoming and I am grateful for that.
